Everything that gets somebody into the tour from the outside world lives here: your website, a social post, a sticker in a shop window, a table tent, the event poster, a screen in a lobby.
Each card gives you both forms of the same thing: a link to paste and a QR code to print.
This is the address for the tour itself. Use it anywhere somebody has no particular starting point: the website, the newsletter, the sticker in a window.
Choose a place on the map and the link and code become that place's own. Somebody scanning it opens the tour already standing there.
This is the code for the table tent inside the restaurant, the sign in the shop window, the plaque beside the mural. It saves the visitor the one step most of them will not take.
Choose an event and the code opens the tour showing that event: what is on, and the places taking part, numbered the way your printed map numbers them.
This is the code for the event poster and the front of the paper map.
Type where you are putting it, press Make its link, and use that link for that one place only. The library door, the coffee shop, the October newsletter.
Analytics then tells you how many people came in through each one. That is the difference between printing three hundred flyers again next year and knowing not to.
Make a separate link for every place you put something. A code with no label tells you nothing.
Copy the link puts it on your clipboard ready to paste.
Save the QR code saves it as a picture, ready to drop into a flyer, a sign or a window sticker. Print it big enough to scan from where somebody will be standing: a code on a shop door needs to work from the pavement.
The same tour, with one thing added, for a screen you leave running in a lobby, a visitor centre or a shop window.
That last one is the point of a lobby screen. It is not an end in itself; it is a way of handing the tour to somebody who is already interested.
Every link you made with Make its link is listed, with Copy and Remove beside it.
Removing one only takes it off this list. A sign already printed with that link keeps working, and the people it brings keep being counted. Nothing you have put out in the world is broken by tidying up in here.
