What this is for

Filling empty buildings is half of running a downtown. This puts each empty unit on the tour with the photographs of the inside, how big it is, what it costs and who to call.

Somebody two states away can walk through the inside at two in the morning and then call you when you open. That is the whole point: the walk-through happens without you, and the call happens with you.

Get it photographed first

An empty shop is photographed exactly like any other place on the tour. Your contractor walks in and shoots it.

Then Pick the point on the map attaches those photographs to the listing. That is what somebody walks through before they call you, and it is the part that does the selling.

No photos yet, drop a pin lets you list it before it is shot. The tour shows it on the map and walks a visitor to the closest point. Swap it over when the photographs exist.

What it is, how big, what it costs

Write it the way you would say it on the phone. Square footage, the shape of the space, what was there before, what it would suit.

For rent, For sale, For rent or sale decides what the tour says and whether the money field is a rent or a price.

Take questions through the tour

Switch this on and somebody looking at the unit can ask about it from inside the tour. The question lands in Book a visit along with their email address.

It needs an address to send to, so fill in who answers about the building first.

Available and Rented

Leave it on Available while it is empty and press Rented the day somebody takes it.

That one press is also the number your board wants at the end of the year, so keeping it current costs you nothing and pays for itself at the annual meeting.

Copy the link and send it to anybody asking what is empty downtown: a broker, a prospect, an economic development office.

It opens the tour standing in the unit, which is a better answer than a PDF of floor plans.

Available, Someone interested, Taken

Only Available shows on the tour. Someone interested and Taken are your own record and a visitor never sees either.

That is what makes this screen usable as a working list rather than only as a shop window: you can track a unit through a deal without publishing the fact that it is nearly gone.

Visitors see this shop

Off keeps the listing, the photographs and the details, and takes it off the tour entirely. Separate from the status, so you can hide one without pretending it is taken.

Add an empty shop

Add an empty shop starts a new listing. Write what it is, how big it is and what the rent is in your own words, then pick the point with the photographs of the inside.
