The count is people who did something in the last five minutes, not people who have the page open somewhere.
It is deliberately a short window, because a number that includes somebody who opened the tour an hour ago and walked off is not a number about right now.
Places opened in the last fifteen minutes, with paler marks meaning longer ago.
On an event day this tells you where the crowd actually is, which is usually not where you thought it would be. It is the fastest way to know you should move the welcome tent.
A link that shows this board and nothing else. Open it on a laptop at the info tent or on a screen in a window, with no sign in, so nobody is signed into your Front Desk on a public machine.
